1Our commitment
Ghumo is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe finding affordable flights and clear travel information should be easy for all travellers, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continuously work to improve the experience.
2Standards we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological conditions.
3What we have done
Steps we have taken to improve accessibility across Ghumo include:
- A "Skip to main content" link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation;
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) for screen-reader navigation;
- Descriptive labels and ARIA attributes on interactive elements such as menus and buttons;
- Text and background colour combinations chosen for readable contrast;
- Responsive layouts that work on phones, tablets, and desktops, and support zoom up to 200%;
- Keyboard-operable navigation, including the mobile menu.
4Assistive technology
Ghumo is designed to work with common assistive technologies, including screen readers (such as NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack), screen magnifiers, speech-recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation. We test key pages with these tools where possible.
5Tips for easier browsing
Adjusting text size
You can increase the text size in most browsers by pressing Ctrl and + (or Cmd and + on Mac). Press Ctrl/Cmd and 0 to reset.
Keyboard navigation
Use the Tab key to move between links and controls, Enter to activate them, and Shift + Tab to move backwards.
6Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Fare data supplied by third parties, or content on external booking partner sites we link to, may not meet the same standards. We are working to identify and fix any gaps on our own pages over time.
7Give us feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Ghumo, or if you need information in a different format, please tell us. Your feedback helps us improve for everyone. When you contact us, describe the page and the problem so we can respond quickly.
Or use our contact page. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback promptly.
